Fertile discussions

Article Abstract:

Scientists and orthodox Jews have many conflicts in Israel and one is over artificial fertility because of the confusion between the pro-reproduction religious laws and bioethics. A Tel Aviv University conference recently revealed that four leading rabbis have been conferring with scientists on treatment of infertility and the Jacobovits have announced support for new technological treatments for infertility. Surplus human embryos have been approved for research and genetic manipulation of sperm cells is also approved.
