Coupled [super 142]Nd-[super 143]Nd evidence for a protracted magma ocean in Mars

Article Abstract:

The Sm-Nd isotope chronometric observation of shergottites meteorites from Mars is presented. The prolonged crystallization of Magma Ocean is attributed to existence of a primitive thick atmosphere on Mars, which reduces the cooling rate of the interior.
