Injection of adult neurospheres induces recovery in a chronic model of multiple sclerosis

Article Abstract:

Reversal of the demyelination and axonal loss caused by multiple sclerosis may be possible, according to research performed in mice. Adult neurospheres were transplanted from the brain and injected into the central nervous system, where they differentiated into mature, healthy cells. The article concludes that recovery in multiple sclerosis may be possible.

Reciprocal regulation of haem biosynthesis and the circadian clock in mammals

Article Abstract:

In mammals, the haem biosynthesis process is controlled by the circadian clock. Haem differentially modulates expression of the mammalian period genes m PER1 and m PER 2 in vivo by a mechanism involving NPAS2 and PER 2.
