Marijuana and your heart

Article Abstract:

The biological properties of marijuana and cannabinoids were studied due to the discovery of cell-surface receptors that bind to the major active component of marijuana, delta(super 9)-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This component is found to ease inflammation and slow the progression of coronary artery disease.

In the year 2005, Tom Kibble, professor of physics at Imperial collage London won the life achievement for creative mentoring in science.

Dystrophic heart failure blocked by membrane sealant poloxamer

Article Abstract:

Dystrophin deficiency causes Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in humans, which is an inherited and progressive disease of muscle deterioration that frequently involves cardio-myopathy. DMD causes heart failure, which is the second leading cause of fatalities in DMD.
