Relationship of obligate grassland birds to landscape structure in Wisconsin

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the relation between landscape structure and presence of grassland birds in Wisconsin. Results showed that only management of grasslands was insufficient and species specific maintaining of habitat was important.

Effects of landscape composition and wetland fragmentation on frog and toad abundance and species richness in Iowa and Wisconsin, U.S.A

Article Abstract:

Patches of remnant forests near farms may provide a haven for frogs and toads. These were the habitats most associated with anurans in a study in Iowa and Wisconsen. Uban areas had a negative impact on anurans.
