Much rowing for fish

Article Abstract:

The fish diet in England changed from freshwater to marine species the transition towards marine species was due to a decline in freshwater species caused by population from mills and by over fishing. A study by Barrett and colleagues published in proceeding of the Royal Society, which documents the transition from eating freshwater fish to eating marine fish.

Warm-hearted crocs

Article Abstract:

Crocodiles have four-chambered heart that can shunt blood between the oxygenated and deoxygenated systems through the foramen of Panizza. The ancestors of these four-chambered, cold-blooded crocodiles were found to maintain large blood pressure with high activity.

Fast fish

Article Abstract:

Mako sharks and tunas have similar internal drive systems. The red muscle in both types of fish act further along the body and causes curvature more towards the tail.
