Muddy waters

Article Abstract:

Earth scientists are trying to find out the reasons behind the mud volcano that has destroyed an Indonesian town, Sidoarjo displacing almost 24,000 people. The flow of the mud, more like thick water, started at just about 5,000 cubic meters a day, which has risen to 130,000. The Indonesian government is trying its level best to reduce the mud coming from the volcano by pushing it out into a nearby river.
