Nations spar over erosion of nuclear treaty

Article Abstract:

The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has 187 signatories and it requires nations with nuclear weapons to work towards disarmament and those without to remain free of nuclear weapons in return for access to nuclear-power technology. However this treaty's collapsing has led handful of nations like the US, Britain, China and others to face real challenges to the treaty's future.

Turkish physicists face accusations of plagiarism

The article discusses about the more than a dozen of physicists at four universities in Turkey who were involved in a massive plagiarism of scandal. The researches have plagiarized the works of the others or contain inappropriate levels of overlap with earlier researches.

Physicists doubt that 'corking' could help baseball's big hitter

Article Abstract:

The physicists report that the illigal 'corked' bat used by Chicago Cubs superstar Sammy Sosa did little to improve his hitting. They say that the lighter hollow bat filled with cork could help him to swing harder but would lessen the energy transferred to the ball.
