Acoustic spectral preferences in two cryptic species of grey treefrogs: Implications for mate choice and sensory mechanisms
Article Abstract:
The spectral properties of acoustic signals for mate choice by two cryptic species of grey treefrogs are studied. It is found that females of both species preferred calls with both spectral peaks as compared to calls with a single, high-frequency peak.
