Sexual dimorphism and adaptive radiation in Anolis lizards

Article Abstract:

Sexual differences have contributed substantially to the ecomorphological diversity produced by the adaptive radiations of West Indian Anolis lizards. The degree of sexual dimorphism might be negatively related to the extent of adaptive radiation if sexual dimorphism and interspecific divergence are alternative means of ecological diversification.

Genetic variation increases during biological invasion by a Cuban lizard

Article Abstract:

Reduced genetic variation due to genetic drift and founder effects limits the ability of a population to adapt whereas small population size increases the risk of extinction. To analyze this, brown anole, a worldwide invasive lizard is studied.

Niche lability in the evolution of a Caribbian lizard community

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on tropical lizard community. The species of this community have had a long evolutionary history of ecological interactions, and the authors report that lizards' evolutionary divergence overcomes niche conservatism.
