The temporal development and sensory mediation of social discrimination in domestic chicks
Article Abstract:
The temporal development and sensory basis of social discrimination by young chicks was investigated by conducting a series of experiments. It was concluded that the rapid development of individual discrimination by chicks was more influenced by the social partners' visual phenotype and not by the familiarization of smell and sedation.
