The protein Aly links pre-messenger-RNA splicing to nuclear export in metazoans
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the use of Aly to act as a messenger for the ribonucleoprotein complexes which have been generated by splicing. The role of splicing in efficient mRNA export is discussed.

Research describing the processes of export and splicing of mRNA and pre-messenger RNA is presented. Particular attention is given to ways in which the two types of RNA are linked through interactions between Aly and UAP56.
