The greening of animal rights
Article Abstract:
Environmentalism, which includes animal rights, is becoming a new legislative force in the US Congress. According to a study, 10% of the members of Congress are supporters of environmental issues. Surprisingly, among the 10% are African Americans and feminists.

The Brothers Pets has stopped seling cats and dogs and instead donated its kennel space to the Aspen Hill, MD, animal shelter. The events that precipitated that move and its subsequent success are presented and dicussed.
