The pinniped problem
Article Abstract:
The growing public concern over the viable solution to the pinniped problem of the sea lions in California waters are detailed. The sea lions are a favorite prey of sharks and some surfers are concerned that as the pinniped population grows, more sharks will be attracted to their favorite surfing spots.

Operation snow leopard: protecting the world's most elusive cat
Article Abstract:
The efforts of an elite unit in Kyrgyzstan, in protecting the snow leopard, are discussed. The dramatic results of the campaign, are reported.
