Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences (KGI) in Claremont, California trains scientists with the single mission of education and research, translating the power and potential of life sciences into practice for the benefit of society. KGI prepares students for what they would face in the industry, evidenced by 97% of graduates employed in the life-sciences industry within six months of graduation, as clinical scientists, research associates, business analysts and in regulatory affairs.

Article Abstract:

The Internet-based communication and interactivity, which have proliferated during the period 1995-2005, might help in revolutionalizing the understanding of collective human behavior. The cooperation between academic researchers and the large Internet companies dominating data collection is expected to be very productive, although these collaborations might encounter challenges, including privacy and intellectual-property issues.

It is a dictionary-based knowledge database built from the gene information necessary for life sciences research, such as gene names, gene symbols, and keywords that are collected from public databases.
