Visible viruses: The structure of viruses was for a long time an enigma. It took an amalgam of techniques, especially the rapidly burgeoning field of electron microscopy, to reveal the quasi-symmetrical nature of viral architecture
Article Abstract:
Negative staining in electron microscopy was introduced in 1959, which allowed the structures and symmetries of viruses to be observed. The technique provided better definition of viruses, and the improved images led to the building of three-dimensional models consistent with emerging patterns. In 1962 Donald Caspar and Aaron Klug proposed that the concept of quasi-symmetry could reconcile the icosahedral regularity of the capsid shown by electron microscope pictures.

Dance reveals symmetry especially in young men
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted at a Jamaican society to find whether dance quality reveals fluctuating asymmetry where dancing is important in the lives of both the sexes and there are strong positive associations between symmetry and dancing ability, and these associations are stronger in men than in women. Dance in Jamaica shows the evidence of sexual selection and to reveal important information about the dancer.
