Waxing Moon

Article Abstract:

A recent study on the reflectivity of the Moon reveals that only 5 percent of sunlight and magnesium's brightness is equivalent to 95% reflectivity of sunlight. The Canadian Harp Project has launched a gun which would ignite a motor burning magnesium powder in lithium perchlorate at the closest distance to the moon, to deposit magnesium oxide and lithium oxide on the lunar surface. When the lunar surface is covered with the magnesium oxide's deposit, dark nights will be illuminated by dazzling moonlight.

Sound unheard

Article Abstract:

Daedalus is inventing 'nosephones,' which are volume controls for ears that allow people to muffle external noises by reducing their volume, but simultaneously permit people to hear their own voices. Faint sounds can also be amplified by increasing the volume. This new device can be worn permanently as spectacles, and allow users absolute control of their aural worlds.
