Where land meets water: The importance of protecting Great Lakes shoreline

Article Abstract:

The watery embrace of Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie and their connecting channels defines MichiganEs natural landscape. The Great Lakes shoreline is the most unique feature because this is where those great bodies of water meet the land and hence there is a need for protecting these shorelines that are fast deteriorating due to the increased demand for development of second homes for seasonal residents.
