"Somewhere over the rainbow ... " Judy Garland in Neverland

Article Abstract:

Truth, or what is taken to be true, usually evolved out of an idea or concept or belief which has been held by a community for a long period of time. Such truths become the source of meaning for the community, the source of their raison d'etre without which the community would not exist. With so many communities in existence, no one has the right to interpret the truths held by another as right or wrong. Nor could there be any such thing as a universalizing discourse. What folklorists can do is to study what a community writes of itself, and not write on the community an interpretation outside of itself.

New concepts for bank distribution systems are discussed. Electronic banking will become an invaluable marketing tool. Citicorp's system, now serving 4,000 customers, exemplifies this trend.
