Use of motif and type indexes by teachers, storytellers, and children's librarians

Article Abstract:

Lay users find the motif and type indexes helpful in finding folktales that relate to particular themes. 'The Storyteller's Sourcebook: A Subject, Title, and Motif Index to Children's Folklore Collections,' is a welcomed high-demand reference source to prove this point. Teachers and parents and storytellers also welcome motif and type indexes.
