Effect of motion and headwear on particle contamination in clean environments

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate differences in particle release during different typesof human motion and the effectiveness of two hood types in lessening particle release. The findings showed that the complete coverage hood was more effectivethan the traditional hood in the containment of particle release from head and face areas during minimal activity. Nevertheless, during maximum activity entailing arm and body twist movements, both head coverings were effective in curbing particle contamination from head and face areas.
