Article Abstract:

Diagram Visual Information celebrated 25 years in business in June 1993, and during that time it has moved from providing an illustration and graphics service for publishers, to thinking up, researching and designing new ideas for reference books. The books designed by Diagram include the classic Rules of the Game. Publishers overseas have acquired the intellectual rights to many of the firm's titles, and have been able to reinterpret the material to fit in with their own culture. This is one aspect which has given the firm's joint founder, Bruce Robertson, particular satisfaction.

Hooking some stem-group "worms": Fossil Lophotrochozoans in the Burgess Shale

Article Abstract:

The analysis of the fossil structures of the Cambrian Burgess Shale have revealed pronounced anatomical and histological discrepancies with molluscan analogues, such that they are interpreted as primitive features of the superphylum Lophotrochozoa. Odontogriphus and Wlwaxia have conceivably represented the early stages of two separate phyla, despite their close relationship.
