The neighborhood of Spitalfields, located at London's East End, boasts of a collection of Georgian houses created with rich 18th century designs. The houses were once inhabited by the Huguenots from France. However, the area became a slum during the turn of the century because of the revolution.

Mount Airy has served as a home to the Tayloe family since the 1750s. It is a remaining example of Georgian architecture in America. It underwent restoration in 1981, with the basic design still retained. Though a regal estate by all counts, the place is foremost a home for the Tayloes.
