Bent out of shape

Article Abstract:

Mid-century modern furniture are increasingly becoming popular with museums and collectors as these have become classic pieces that have acquired the patina of age. Once thought to be ahead of mass appeal and current technology, their authentic copies, prototypes and early examples have become sought after. The market for these classics of modern furniture is driven by the short supply of pieces coupled with steadily increasing demand among specialized dealers and major auction houses. Among furniture designers whose mid-century modern pieces are in great demand are Charles Eames, Greta Grossman and Luther Conover.

Gray matter

Article Abstract:

Computer software engineer Jennifer Clark's stucco house was designed by Melinda Gray. It incorporated steel frames and a metal roof that reminded Clark of a former home in Jamaica. It has a kitchen that opens off the living room and onto a patio. The interior features accents of bright yellow and red. It also has armless sofas, a master bedroom, a maple and steel open staircase that leads to the mezzanine media room and a powder room.
