Cookies originated from the Dutch practice of testing oven temperature using a small portion of cake batter. One of the most creative cookie manufacturer is Eleni Gianopulos of New York, NY. She founded her company, Eleni's, in 1994. Her best-selling goods are oatmeal and gingerbread cookies.
