Critical condition

Article Abstract:

The US health care system has deteriorated to become one of the more expensive and less efficient health delivery systems with costs expected to triple to $800 billion in 1992. The industry experienced rapid expansion in terms of facilities and personnel because of Federal subsidies and the introduction of Medicare in 1965. Medical costs increased because specialization inspired hospitals to raise their rates. Given this set-up, health institutions should examine ways to improve their services as well as enhance their competitiveness given limited resources. Hospital administrationsshould realize that health care is a function of both science and emotions.

The program interprets the personality traits of the individual and his work system which are then matched with an ideal work setting. The program is based on a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test which classifies workers into visionary, stabilizer, cooperator or catalyst.
