Design office

Article Abstract:

Design Collective Inc. created an office space to display the various materials and interior finishes they use for their interior design clients. The office is divided into zones for a resource library, conference area, studio and graphics room within 4,000 square feet of space near the atrium of historic buildings in Nashville, TN. The small conference area is separated from the lobby by large glass doors. The ceiling sports a long curving beam running down the length of the office that is suspended at varying height levels.

Pricing roundtable

Article Abstract:

Pricing in the office furniture industry is the result of the interdynamics of all elements of the industry. This was the consensus among industry leaders from the manufacturing, design and dealer sectors in a discussion of product pricing and its effects on the industry. Among the salient points which came up during the roundtable are that unit price is dependent on the size of the order and that manufacturers do not divulge the pricing structure to protect the dynamics of the manufacturer/dedicated dealer relationship.
