Restaurant: Vintage Hollywood is the new theme of Fong & Miyagawa's newest restaurant, a prototype for an L.A. area chain

Article Abstract:

A Woodland Hills, CA, shopping mall is the new home of Favoritz, an upscale, 185-capacity restaurant inspired by 1930's Hollywood movie palaces. Fong & Miyagawa Design Associates intended to give Favoritz a sense of openness and complexity by layering the spaces. They deliberately excluded trite Hollywood movie posters and memorabilia from the setting and focused instead on opulent murals and backdrops of Los Angeles scenery. Favoritz has a Deco lobby, a coffee room, a Commissary and an executive dining room each distinguished with its own personal style.
