Shell game

Article Abstract:

The adoption of a design-build approach proved instrumental in creating an elegant and work-conducive facility for Circa 2K, a firm which produces commercials and documentaries. The company successfully converted a 2000- sq-ft-former-dance-studio into a six-double workstation facility through the use of low-cost construction materials. The production office, located in Westwood Village, CA, further features a digital editing department and a conference room which both seem to entice clients.

Mondrian

Article Abstract:

Interior decorators Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck collaborated on the transformation of the Mondrian to turn it from a decrepit hotel into an elegant and glamorous one. The new Mondrian harks back to the Sunset Strip era where the lobby was made to look like a 1990s stage set. The West Hollywood, CA's new design was predominantly done in white, achieving an appearance that is cool, understated and intimate.
