Known for their diverse interests and fine tastes, gentlemen were associated with accouterments such as corkscrews, decanters, flintlocks and guns.

She began collecting antique china when she moved into her new home in Prince Georges County, MD, in 1982. She is the author of 'Chintz Ceramics' which studies the development of china patterns in England.
