Trouble in paradise: rainforests at risk

Destruction of rain forests by slash and burn farming, irresponsible timber harvesting and clearing are causing great problems ranging from global warming to loss of biodiversity. It is emphasized that all sectors of society must cooperate to manage tropical rainforests and avert ecological disasters.
