Encounter space

Article Abstract:

Space exploration holds the key to man's future on Earth. The momentum of US space exploration has slowed considerably since its heyday in the 1960s due to overspending and unclear goals. A focused and well thought out US space program is needed to insure America's lead in space exploration.

Catch a lift on Energia

The end of the Cold War marks the start of a rejuvenated space program for both US and Russia. A cooperative project, which combines the American Freedom shuttle with the Russian Mir space station and Energia launcher, can result in extensive and far reaching space explorations.

Reusable launch vehicles

Article Abstract:

Government agencies should focus on the common goal of building reusable launch vehicles which can serve as a starting point for developing Single State to Orbit launchers. Only with such a policy can the US space program regain its former glory.
