The United States and Russia begin a new partnership in space, but can we trust each other?

US astronaut Norm Thagard was launched on a Russian rocket to the Russian space station Mir. US ambassador to Russia Thomas Pickering believes that this signals a new era of cooperation in space research between the US and Russia.

Delta explodes over Cape Canaveral

Article Abstract:

An Air Force Delta 2 rocket built by McDonnell Douglas exploded a few moments after it lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Station. Initial reports indicate that the accident may have been caused by Delta's solid rocket boosters.
