Of rag-tag fleets and off-the-self technologies

Article Abstract:

The SciFi Channel's hit remake of the 1970s television show Battlestar Galactica is built on the science fictional ideas of centuries of writers and it has some variations on the original characters and the original technology. The new Battlestar Galactica series continues in the tradition of imagined space exploration and one of the realistic touches in the show is the existence of many different kinds of spaceships.
