The NSS in a time of war

Article Abstract:

The NSS should not change it's position of not entering the political and military debate in response to the September 11 terrorist attacks. It should continue concentrating on living, working and playing outside of Earth's atmosphere. Issues that should be considered include the budget for increased security, how NASA can contribute to increased airline security, and openness in sharing scientific information.

NASA in the 21st century

Article Abstract:

The role of NASA and the U.S. space program in national security in the 21st century, as envisioned by the Hart-Rudman Commission and U.S. government, is explored. The Commission did not mention NASA in context of funding of the intelligence community during the next 10 years.
