The U.S. blueprint for space exploration

Article Abstract:

There have been innumerable reports about what is wrong with NASA, the world's premier space agency and suggestions on how the agency can be brought back onto the right track but the agency has survived despite detractors predicting imminent closure. Observers say that while the agency may definitely be floundering due to various reasons, it has the inherent strength to deliver when required but decision makers need to show vision while drafting policies so that the agency sustains itself in the long run.

A hornet's nest

Article Abstract:

The human space program in the U.S. has suffered a jolt with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) concluding that an additional Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission would not meet the criteria for post Columbia's safety standards. NASA administrator Sean OEKeefe took sole responsibility for pulling Hubble's life extension system.

Ditching Hubble bodes poorly for future space exploration

NASA has decided to end servicing mission to Hubble Space Telescope to focus on space station construction to ensure safety measures following the Columbia tragedy, igniting waves of controversy over the meaning of acceptable risk. Hubble Space Telescope is a national treasure that has given humanity mind-bending views of our wonderful universe.
