Space advocates have participated in the Race for Space festivities organized by the National Space Society. McDonnell Douglas was the major sponsor of the event and will be co-sponsored by Boeing in the succeeding years.

Beaming into the future: meeting earth's future power needs by carrying moonbeams in from afar

The Moon can be used as a source of alternative energy for our own planet. This can be done by collecting solar energy on the Moon and beaming it to earth as microwave radiation.
