Chevrolet Cobalt SS supercharged: A feel good pill for the Camero blues

Article Abstract:

The new Cobalt SS Supercharged features unique strut valving, stiffer springs, larger anti-roll bars, quarter-inch-lower ride height, bigger brakes with high-performance linings, and 18inch forged alloys wearing 215/45 Pirellis. The new car priced at $24,560 features a top speed of 145mph, a 1998cc engine, power of 205bhp, torque of 200lb ft at 4400rpm and a wheelbase of 103.3 inches.

2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca: An old dog learns the seven-seat crossover trick

Subaru's B9 Tribeca, which is the seven-passengers SUV, is based on an outback platform with the wheelbase extended by 3.1 inches to make room for the third row of seating. This front-engine, four-wheel-drive is priced at $34,000, has 5-speed automatic with manumatic shifting transmission and makes decent power with 250 horsepower and 219 pound-feet of torque.

Chevrolet Monte Carlo Supercharged SS: Not exactly the one Little E. drives

The Chevrolet Monte Carlo Supercharged SS, the street version of its famed namesake racecar driven by Little E. and launched in 2004 has a far superior performance than the standard SS model. With a torque of 280 lb-ft, a power of 240 bhp and a top speed of 112 mph, this car is sturdy with an elegant finish and a roomy interior.
