The Chevrolet Tahoe is a good police cruiser with a base price of $24,000. Chevrolet has two police versions of the vehicle made to the specifications of different police departments. The Tahoe has been slightly redesigned but is still similar to past models.

The Ford Crown Victoria and the Chevrolet Tahoe are now the only two law enforcement cars in use today now that Dodge and Chrysler have left the fray. Both vehicles were tested and the 1998 Crown Victoria edged out the Tahoe slightly overall.
