N2O laughing gas: has the NHRA been looking the other way after allegations that Pro Stock champions got there with the help of nitrous oxide?

Article Abstract:

Some people believe that racers Alderman and Scott Geoffrion used nitrous oxide in their cars to make them run faster. A break-in in May 1995 left only the engines of the racers' cars damaged, but some people think they staged the break-in to keep the NHRA from finding out about their cheating.

'98 Porsche 911

Article Abstract:

The 1998 Porsche 911 is expected to be 7.7 inches longer and 1.4 inches wider than the 1997 model, with a deeper, more horizontal windshield to reduce drag. The base price of the car, which is expected to reach a top speed of 175 mph, is estimated at $68,000.
