Automated highway system

Automated highway systems are envisioned to help solve the problem of traffic congestion and accidents. Platooning with the help of radar and magnets, using computer vision for lane tracking and adaptive cruise control are some of the technologies being studied.

Long-term test

Article Abstract:

An update of the long-term test of the Porsche 911 Carrera and BMW Z3 is presented. The Porsche was not able to reach the 50,000-mile mark due to an accident. The BMW, so far, was proven to be reliable as it approached a total mileage of 18,198.
