School of hard knocks

Article Abstract:

Aspiring off-road drivers undergo a two-day course that begins with a viewing of videotapes that outline driving in the salt valleys of Moab, UT. Five instructors teach basic use of four-wheel drive vehicles to as many as 25 students. Course fee is $700.

Jaguar XK8

The Jaguar XK8, scheduled to go into production in late 1996, will have a 280-hp 4.0-liter eight-cylinder engine. The classic-style body will be made largely of aluminum. The body styles will include a coupe and a roadster.
