1998 Lincoln Navigator: can a badge-engineered truck become Boomer bait?

Article Abstract:

Lincoln banks on the phenomenal success of the Ford Expedition as it launches the 1998 Lincoln Navigator, which is set to enter the market in Jul 1997 with a price not exceeding $40,000. Most of the Navigators will be 4x4 models with features such as V-8 engines and 4-speed automatic transmissions.

Toyota RAV4

Article Abstract:

The Toyota RAV4 sport-utility vehicle will be available in the US in Feb 1996 and is expected to be priced between $14,000-$16,000. The RAV4 is basically an economy Toyota production, but the eight-inch ground clearance and four-wheel drive make it more versatile.
