AMEX membership - rewards for members

Article Abstract:

Accountants can benefit from joining the American Express Rewards Program, which is part of the Australian Society of Certified Public Accountants' (ASCPA) Credit Card Solutions program. The program has been designed to accommodate the interests and lifestyles of ASCPA members. Most importantly, cardmembers will receive one Membership Rewards point for each dollar spent using the CPA Credit Card.

Non-standard international reporting

Article Abstract:

Australia's financial reporting community has made a commitment to harmonizing the country's accounting standards with those of the International Accounting Standards Committee, but Australia's role in the process of setting international standards remain unclear. The Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants plans to maintain its involvement in the standards harmonization debate.

CPA vision 2020: member services for the future

Article Abstract:

The Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants' (ASCPA) CPA Vision 2020 program is designed to assure that the organization continues to meet its members' needs, well into the next century. In particular, the program addresses members' needs for information, recognition and education. The CPA Vision 2020 program and ASCPA's Strategic Business Plan are discussed.
