Professional conduct

Article Abstract:

Several professional conduct cases were decided in Australia. Several accountants disregarded auditing standards by their own admission. Investigations were conducted by the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants. The punishments included a note in the member's file, admonishment and forfeited membership.

Annual general meetings: under the spotlight

Article Abstract:

Annual meetings should be forums where important information is discussed in an expedient manner. Additional legislation can be introduced to continue reform. All shareholders should be able to speak at these meetings without causing the meeting to be interminable. Work needs to continue to make this result possible.

Compaq Computer's Aero 2100 is the next generation of microcomputer or palm-sized computer. It provides the functions of a personal information manager, fax machine, electronic mail and audio services in one product. The productivity increases will pay for the cost of the computer while increasing business profits.
