Sustainability: the investment perspective

Article Abstract:

Companies will find it advantageous to communicate how their environmental policies offer a competitive advantage. Investors may be unaware that appropriate policies can help reduce working capital and operating costs, improve customer loyalty, and improve revenues. Companies that try to communicate their environmental policies and goals should approach the task in a consistent manner, should try to maintain credibility, and should try to explain how the policies are relevant to business success.

Sustainable development reporting: the Australian experience

Article Abstract:

One reason companies are expected to show a commitment to environmental issues is that failing to do so may have an impact on their ability to conduct business because of public opposition. Adoption of sustainable development goals also reduces corporate liabilities and leads to better resource use.
