Physical activity and fitness: pathways from childhood to adulthood

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between exercise levels and physical fitness during childhood and adult health status. Current studies indicate only low to moderate associations between childhood fitness and adult health, but the variability is attributed to the use of inconsistent methods to assess activity levels and health status.
