Methods for intense aeration, growth, storage, and replication of bacterial strains in microtiter plates

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the oxygen transfer rates in the deep-well microtiter plates. The optimization of these rates and the development of the replication system are discussed.

Production of 6-phenylacetylene picolinic acid from diphenylacetylene by a toluene-degrading Acinetobacter strain

Article Abstract:

Research reveals that of the 139 toluene-degrading strains tested, Acinetobacter sp. strain F4 catalyzes overall conversion of dephenylacetylene to an intemediate which can be converted to 6-phenylacetylene picolinic acid by ammonium hydroxide treatment.

Biocatalytic production of perillyl alcohol from limonene by using a novel Mycobacterium sp. cytochrome P450 alkane hydroxylase expressed in Pseudomonas putida

Article Abstract:

A 6.2-kb Apal fragment was cloned, which encoded a cytochrome P450, a ferrodoxin, and a ferrodixin reductase using N-terminal sequence information. The three genes were successfully coexpressed in Pseudomonas putida by using the broad-host-range vector pCom8, and the recombinant converted limonene to perillyl alcohol with a specific activity of 3 U/g (dry weight) of cells.
