The effect of drought stress on inbreeding depression in four populations of the Mediterranean outcrossing plant Crepis sancta (Asteraceae)

Article Abstract:

The effect of drought stress on inbreeding depression has been studied in four populations of Crepis sancta (Asteraceae), an Mediterranean outcrossing plant. The absence of competition for C. sancta seen likely led to underestimation of effects of inbreeding in natural populations where there is competition.

Capitulum characters in a seed heteromorphic plant, Crepis sancta (Asteraceae): variance partitioning inference for the evolution of dispersal rate

Article Abstract:

Variance partitioning inference in evolution of dispersal rate has been studied based on Capitulum characters in a seed-heteromorphic plant, Crepis sancta (Asteraceae). The percentage of central archenes per individual and the potential dispersal rate in the plant is under quantitative genetic control. It could thus undergo microeveolutionary changes in natural populations.

Outcrossing rate and inreeding depression in the herbaceous autotetraploid, Campanula americana

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on self-compatible protandrous herb Campanula americana. The authors have investigated the outcrossing rate and inbreeding depression for this herb, and have concluded that C. americana is an autotetraploid with the tetrasomic inheritance.
