Characterization of a unique chromosomal copper resistance gene cluster from Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria

Article Abstract:

The copper resistance genes in strain XvP26 of Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria, which was originally isolated from a pepper plant in Taiwan, is characterized. The information on the presence of putative regulatory genes associated with the copper resistance genes and the evidence for copper-inducible expression of two of the genes is presented.

Genetic diversity and quinolone resistance in Campylobacter jejuni isolates from poultry in Senegal

Article Abstract:

The mutilocus sequence typing (MLST) method is used to evaluate the genetic diversity of 46 Campylobacter jejuni isolates from chickens in Senegal and to determine the link between quinolone resistance and sequence type (ST). The analysis has provided useful information for understanding the epidemiology of C. jejuni in Senegal.
